Better Electrical Control System for Farmland Irrigation

GRL distribution box is applied to farmland irrigation control system in Shandong, China Water is one of the most needed substances in farming.

Farmers used to need diesel pumps to pump water for irrigation in Shandong, China. After the “Jijingtong” project is completed, farmers can use electric water pumps to irrigate.

Shandong saves 2.5 billion RMB in irrigation costs every year through the machine-driven well-connected project.

Cable Branch Box

GRL designed the distribution box to use the busbar system. When the circuit is 400A, the main switch is a 400A molded case circuit breaker with a busbar system adapter. There are no holes in the conductors to the busbars because of the busbar system terminals. The shell material of the cable branch box is SMC, and the protection level reaches IP44.

Busbar system cable branch boxes are safer for farmers. The busbar system solution uses many insulating materials and has no exposed conductors, reducing the risk of electric shock.

Customer Application

GRL supplied 40,000 busbar system adapters in 8,000 cable branch boxes.

The overall project involved 101 counties and brought water to 420,000 wells.
